Simple and easy recipe on how to make no-bake granola bars at the comfort of your home.


1 ½ cups oats (quick cooking or rolled oats)
1 cup rice crispy cereal
¼ cup butter
¼ cup honey or maple syrup
½ cup brown sugar (I used muscovado here)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

1) In a large bowl, mix together the oats and rice crispies.

2) In a microwavable bowl, add in butter, honey and brown sugar. Microwave this mixture for 2 minutes. 

3) It will look like a caramel. Whisk in the salt and vanilla.

4) Mix the wet and dry ingredients together until the oats are completely coated. This is now your base granola bar. You can be creative here and add whatever nuts, jam, fruits, etc. that you like.

No-Bake Peanut Butter & Jelly Granola bars
⅓ cup peanut butter
⅓ cup chopped peanuts
6 tablespoons Jam (strawberry, grape, raspberry)

1) Mix the peanut butter into the caramel mix. Stir well. Add additional toasted nuts if you like. 

2) Put half of the granola bar mix into a tray. Spread on the jam and then press the reserved granola mix on top. 

3) Press into the tray firmly so the bars hold together. Put them in the fridge for 2-3 hours then cut to sizes.

No-Bake Double Chocolate Granola bars
¼ cup cocoa powder
1 cup chocolate chips

1) Mix the cocoa powder into the caramel mix. Stir into the oats and rice crispies along with the chocolate chips. 

2) Press into the tray firmly so the bars hold together. Put them in the fridge for 2-3 hours then cut to sizes.
